Hey hivers!
Last night as I re-watched "Twelve Monkeys", there was a scene that caught my attention for the first time.
As the psychiatrist is giving a lecture, she gives a brief explanation about "Cassandra Complex". Until now I never really paid much importance but this time was different because it spoke to me.
Ok, who was she and what's her story?
In Greek mythology, Priam, King of Troy had a daughter of her name Cassandra. She was said to be very beautiful and as so, Apollo was in love with her. As a way to pursue her, he presented her with the gift of prophecy with hopes that she would love him.

After denying Apollo's love, Cassandra was cursed.
Even though she could foresee future events, no one would believe her.
So all that she was left with was undesirable knowledge and helpless feeling.
This metaphor was later applied in many different fields to explain behavior.
Would that be environmental, psychology, enterprises and corporations.
So I thought why not use it for the Conspiracy Cray-Crays, like me?
More often than I would like I hear someone calling me a conspiracy theorist and many other things. Worst part is getting that even with proof.
Which leaves a big feeling of frustration and distress.
Moreover you turn out to be right but you still crazy.
With that said, from now on I rather be called Cassandra.
I mean, is better than Karen....
