Zapfic Monday - Sanctuary

I was broken, as I looked at the face of the man who I once considered my sanctuary spit lies to my face without blinking “You’re my world, I’ll never cheat on you.”
I closed my novel. I couldn’t read anymore of it.
Tom will never cheat on me, right?
