An amazing poetry for the weekly writing contest #pic1000 "A Picture Is Worth A Thousand Words".
OH EIFFEL TOWER
In the City of light,
They aspired to build to a climax,
Higher, full of power and desire,
An object of discord that never fails to impress.
A tower crowning the city of love,
A lifetime's memory that was once thought impossible to build,
Strong like steel but elegant like lace,
Nine hundred and eighty-four feet high.
With a mighty name
Eiffel Tower.
Oh how magical Eiffel Tower is,
A tower that never gets old,
So famous than I am,
Expensive to build
I wish I could see and wrap my hands around it.
My dreams,
A gift from above,
An icon of war,
The sparkle of light.
Oh, Eiffel Tower,
The iron lady,
Built during the belle epoque (The beautiful period).
From the 1889 world war,
To the present day.
Oh, Eiffel Tower how amazing you are.
