Well, when the garbage workers go on strike, the garbage just stays there not being picked up. Well, I guess they want more pay and maybe more medical, what we all want.
So the union gets together and says, We are on strike, when they don't like the contract that is.
Reminds me of my years and decades with the telephone company. We had to strike at times and at times the company had to hire what they call, Scabs. Sometimes the scabs were our own workers that crossed the picket line and some would be off the street new temporary workers. Either way the service was not too good and the new ones didn't really know the job, but I guess they did the best they could.
So maybe a scab might be the next to pick up my garbage. It doesn't matter to me, so long as it eventually gets picked up.
Yet here I am, the garbage is supposed to be picked up on Wednesday and here it is Friday morning and no pickup.
I got the larger garbage can when my brother moved in with me as he is used to throwing out garbage everyday and asked to get the largest garbage can that they have. Well, since he is helping pay for the garbage, I said, Sure.
Most of the time we don't even fill it up to the top and that is a good thing, cause since the strike my brother still throws out garbage everyday. Me, I usually just throw out garbage once a week, and it those days I just had a small 20 gallon garbage can and of course that smaller garbage can was a lot cheaper.
But my brother moves in and things change.
If the garbage thing gets too bad, I can still get rid of garbage at our Lovelace Transfer Station, but that is when things get really bad.
Hopefully the workers get what they want and we can go back to normal. Well, maybe at least close to normal.
Let's end with a scripture, as it is written, Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this the whole of man. Ecclesiastes 12:13.
