When I hear the words "button it", it takes my mind to my grandma who will always say to me and my cousin when we are having a rough play at the house. It was the only way of shutting us up as a kid then, but today i’m just thinking about those old story.
Imagine a small town where everyone has an obsession with buttons, not just any kind of buttons but those ones which are magical.
In this small town, at the edge of the town, you find an old tailor shop. The shop is filled with so many jars of button, each one with different colors, then the rumor comes in when you sew one of these buttons, that marbles onto your clothes then it grants a single wish of yours.
But here is the holy cash you have to button it afterwards, so you’re not telling anyone about the wish until it manifested
One of these kids known as Hames had to sneak into Mabel's shop one day being desperate and wishing for the old truck of his dad to walk back again. His family was struggling and that truck was the only means of livelihood they had. So Mabelle decided to hand him a pink tiny blue button. Then she told James to sew it on, make his wish and then button it.
James did exactly what Mabelle told him. So the next morning, surprisingly, the old truck was done. It was back to life, like it is brand new. So his dad, over the moon, but James was willing to tell his best friend. But even as he knows that he should keep quiet and never tell anyone, all the magic will
So days passed and James’ best friend was pestering him about how the old truck got back to life. James hesitated, dodging the question and finally he thought about spilling the secret or holding on to the magic. But at last, since he loves his dad’s old truck, he didn’t spill the secret behind it.
