Smooth as sandpaper
What a phrase. I think it is a promising phrase. Imagine you're in a small town, and you went to the coffee shop, and here you see a girl named Margaret the waitress. She's been there forever, has already faded and looking one out and her pretty face was still sharp she's got the scene.
Every time I walk into the shop she keeps saying smooth as sandpaper whenever someone complains about the coffee. It's a way of saying that sometimes life is off but you can still live and you can still make adjustments and changes.
So on the way you have to listen to us boxing after with his guitar so we decided to order a special. So Margaret size the plates and he started to order a coffee and a meatloaf, which was about to get warmed up. Margaret slides the plate over Martin, here is your order smooth as sandpaper. He laughs and says you understand, sometimes it used to be rough.
His name is Ellison, he was a lifter, the dinner squad. So you put that his guitar and keep started playing the tune. The tune was all about it was so full and coming that regular uvali grumpy piece and he started tapping his feet and making some creating some rhythm with all his body.
At least he sticks around for playing for tips and and kept on eating Margaret's meatloaf each night. He and Margaret swap stories. Margaret always tell about the towns him he he always told Margaret about the about his stories and his wood lesson.
By the time he leaves the dinner they are together always feel different than woman. Margaret keeps saying all the time when he said when she served Ellison smooth as sandpaper and Ellison loved it.
But now it's less about the bad coffee or more but how life can be sometimes and uh we never expect anything to be perfect smooth and sandpaper.
