In many definitions, one of the definitions of twilight is that part of the time when it is half-dark on earth after sunset when the sun's disk as a whole has disappeared from the horizon. Twilight time begins after sunset when light is still visible in the sky until nightfall or when the red light is completely gone. But apart from that understanding, in simple language, we can interpret twilight as the time between sunset and the loss of sunlight.
Anyone of us must have known that many things are associated with twilight, there are beauty, aesthetics, romance, and even philosophical words that seem to never end when they are associated with twilight. Maybe there are some of us who suddenly become poetic when we see the sunset like poets. There are also those who become impromptu photographers who don't want to miss the sunset view. That's the charm of twilight.
Twilight and natural human behavior
Viewed from the side of human life, twilight becomes the embodiment of human life itself, twilight appears and disappears like the reality of a dream. Reality is something we must face, but dreams are also needed to see how far we can realize reality. Two things complement each other and this is normal in human life. That beauty is not just one, that beauty is not always beautiful, that other beauties need to be sought. No need to be sad when the beauty is gone, stay optimistic to find other beauty that nature has provided for us.
The combination of light and dark colors that we get at dusk, seems to teach us to accept the existence of good and bad in human nature and behavior. It is unavoidable that these two traits are embedded in human beings. No one is created always in good, nor is one continually in bad. It takes a strong effort to keep yourself always in good and takes a hard struggle to keep yourself from falling into bad.
You just enjoy the sunset.
You will agree, anyone who watches the sunset will always enjoy it. The word "enjoy" is very relevant to us. Enjoy what you get now, enjoy what is your current condition. You may lack money, do not have a position and a job, and even your career is not as bright as the people around you. But as you see dusk and you find happiness, then it is more important than all obsessions about the perfection of wealth, career, and status.
Today's twilight will disappear, but tomorrow the twilight will reappear, there is time available in between, and it is an opportunity where at that time we can wait and try to get the happiness we seek. Combining happiness and trying to make it happen by looking for money, a career, and status is probably the wisest way we can do it. Because there is happiness in the twilight, just as there is happiness in getting money, a career, and social status. If not, then there is happiness in every endeavor.
