Being in the province is the best opportunity for me to relax, let loose and enjoy time with my family but of course, I have to go back to the City to secure my stuff and get back to work.
Since the signal in Cebu is intermittent I have few texts and chats received from my HCBC's friends and so I decided to surprise them.
The day I flew back to Cebu I contacted two of them which are @prettyunicorn and @jeennicious. Unfortunately, @prettyunicorn did not text me back due to a connectivity issue and according to him he was not feeling well and was quarantined at the same time.
💮 Arrival day 💮
I landed in Cebu late lunchtime and have high hopes that things will work out better. My body is in terrible pain, can still feel my legs are tired body is tired and the weather that day was pretty hot and I am exhausted. My heart and my body are still having that second thought of going straight to my dorm for some reason I can't explain.

I contacted Jenny and ask if she was busy and it was good timing that she's on leave. I booked a hotel somewhere in Mandaue to get some rest and since I don't want to stay there alone I asked Jenny to stay with me to have a little catch-up and I know that her place doesn't have electricity so she can sleep better if she stays in the hotel that time.

The next day I and Jenny checked out of the hotel and went straight up to the mall. I did get a 2-hour massage and so as Jen. After that went to the grocery to get some food as I don't want to go out for a couple of days so I can relax before going back to work and doing some cleaning is a part of my plan since I left my room in chaos.

Since I have a lot of things to carry, @jeennicious helped me and drop me off at my place. I am excited to see my room, to lay in bed, to have a shower, and hug my pillow and my stuffed toys. Lol
Well, that's the plan but the moment I enter the room the caretaker and the landlord informed me that some of the family members were Covid Positive.
I feel betrayed upon hearing the bad news as they could have contacted me beforehand to let me know. The excuse I got from them is they can't contact me but a few days ago I was chatting with one of them and even let them know that I am coming home on that specific date.
💮 The bad news 💮
I was stuck and considered as close contact. I have a different entrance and exit door from them but still, chances are is I can't avoid the contact as we have common areas to go to.
I lock myself inside the room gladly I have my food water inside. I still have the medicine I bought from the province.
After two days I woke up with a massive headache, feverish feeling, body pain, and discomfort, I took some medicine and rest. After a few hours, I woke up and I am sweating the fan was on but it was not close to my bed and the temperature of my room was not hot. I drink a lot of water, force myself to get up from bed, stretch a little took a shower, and after that went back to bed, turn off the fan and I feel so cold got chills, and take a few hours. I checked my temperature but it is only around 36.8 to 36.5 and was pretty normal. It has been the same feeling for two days then I had a cough, cold and sore throat. It lasted for 3 to 4 days. My body is tired and I just want to rest but I force myself to move around, get some work done and sweat it out. I force myself to eat as I don't have an appetite so I'll be better, I cannot tell if my food is very sweet or sour as to me they just taste the same. Lol
I am glad it's over now, I feel better and recovering from it. I just needed to rest and get this C out of my system.
I thank those people who knew what I was going through and keep me motivated.
I am still lucky that those things I've dealt with are mild compared to others who had it in the past.
Nowadays, we can never tell if this is only the regular flu or C as they have the same symptoms.
I hope this variant and the pandemic ends soon so we can live with no fear.
That's it for now hivers, let's stay safe and healthy. Though we don't plan on getting sick we need to prepare ourselves and make sure to have the necessary medicines in our kit. Prevention is better than cure. 😊
I know that vaccines are not for everyone but with or without it we should take care of ourselves. 😊😉
