Among piles of boxes, Leo found an old leather trunk, whose lock, rusted by the passing of time, gave way easily and with a creak at the insistence of Leo, who upon contemplating its interior could feel how a sea of memories and emotions invaded him completely. In it he could see several photos and an old gray book with a hard cover and a worn spine...
As he went through them in detail, he wents over each object with nostalgia. The photos showed a happy child, energetically walking through a beautiful green and flowery field, playing with his friends and enjoying the simplicity of life. While the book, contained many stories that he loved to write, products of his daily experiences... Fantastic and full of rebelliousness.
The more Leo observed those objects, the more frustration he felt for not being able to relive those memories literally, however, it was at that moment when doubt and adrenaline took over him...

He visited many electronics stores, consulted with different experts in augmented reality to finally find what he was looking for: a technology that would allow him to project and feel all those experiences encapsulated in his longed-for photos in a three-dimensional way on the real world.
Sitting in his room and with trembling hands, Leo placed the device on his face, while Thomas (the owner of the technology) slowly inserted each photo in his device, and also was indicating the steps to follow so that he could live in his memories...
In an instant, his room was filled with light as his photos began to come to life... He could feel his childhood friends surrounding him, smiling and playful, while he held several pages full of fantastic stories from that gray book... Lived stories that he thought he had forgotten, he could remember them and feel the adrenaline of their words with absolute clarity.
Needless to say, Leo was fascinated and completely immersed in that world of nostalgia and illusion that he longed for... Laughing and playing as if he was once again that happy and rebellious child of 44 years ago. For hours, he could relive those happiest moments of his childhood, without worries or responsibilities. However, at one point, something brought him back to reality. It was his wife's voice, soft and familiar (she was calling him from the corner of his room) to invite him to dinner...
Leo took off his device with a bit of nostalgia, however, the image of his wife filled him again with that warmth he desperately sought to relive in those memories. He realized that, although this technology allowed him to relive those times of youth, joy and rebellion, it could never replace his present and that his real life was there, in front of him... With his wife and full of beautiful moments to live. So this vivid experience allowed him to appreciate the here and now.
The next day, he kept the device in his beloved leather trunk, along with all those memories of his beautiful childhood.... She knew she could always go back to them to visit them whenever she needed to, but she also knew that the most important thing was to live her present to build new memories with the same joy and rebelliousness with which she had done it in her childhood.

Era la voz de su esposa, suave y familiar (lo llamaba desde la esquina de su habitación) para invitarlo a cenar…
Leo se quitó el dispositivo con un poco de nostalgia, sin embargo, la imagen de su esposa lo llenó nuevamente de esa calidez que buscaba desesperadamente revivir en aquellos recuerdos.
