From calls for a venue change to outright rejection of wedding photography, a litany of humiliations aimed at Mio piled up, maiming her beyond recognition as if she were riddled with a rain of bullets at an execution.
They were probably holding that bottle of champagne, waiting to pop it when Sumio called it off at the eleventh hour.

They have an innate ability that never fails to transform the brightest day into the extraordinarily dark days in summer.
Their insidious clouds have been hovering over Mio’s life, raining on her during celebratory moments and all other ordinary days alike.
