Mio thought she had seen her share of darkness, but the malevolence of this den of vipers exceeded her wildest expectation.
She was no longer a wide-eyed, naive soul, but rather someone well-acquainted with jealousy and competitiveness, whose past with difficult people had served as a good reference for evil—until she met them.
Their malicious creativity forces her to rewrite her very definition of evil, with each new act a fresh assault of petty sabotages, backhanded attacks, and dark art.
The deepest impressions they’ve left are the permanent scars that mark her, an endless collection of horrors that would make an encyclopedia seem small and an atrocity far more terrifying than anything imagined in The Conjuring universe.
