Humanity is full of contradictions. Its origin and future makes more sense if scientifically explained. The contradictions are multiplied if we look for answers in creation myths. All creation myths defy logic and common sense. They wear out after a while and join the catalogue of wild tall tales.
Humanity is fascinated by the wild, but at the same time, it has actually an antagonistic relationship with the it, even though the wild seems to be its natural state and its fate.
We tend to tame all that is wild. Whether it is an animal, a plant or a whole ecosystem. We turn animals into pets, powerful trees into furniture or decoration, and we turn pristine environments into resorts. We want everything sanitized, safe, predictable.
Once we achieve that, we pollute everything we’ve cleaned and turn it into septic pool. That’s how forests turned into villages, villages turned into cities, and cities turned into concrete jungles where the survival of the fittest continues being the only real law.
We have outdone the most vicious wild predators. We have created an unpredictable and irrational breed of predators who have been able to incorporate the best civilization and technology can offer to their arsenal of killing tools. Unlike the natural wild, which obeys natural laws, the new wild breaks all, especially the ones the beasts themselves created to allegedly separate our kind from inferior ones. Every senseless crime, every war just proves how humanity perfected the art of deception and greed and added some cynicism to spice it up.
