As a young girl growing up in a small town, Lily had always been fascinated by the old abandoned house on the outskirts of town. It was rumored that a sympathetic devil lived there, offering deals to those in need but always with a hidden price.
Curiosity got the best of Lily and one night, she snuck out of her house and made her way to the old house. She cautiously crept up to the front door, her heart racing with fear and excitement.
To her surprise, the door creaked open on its own and she stepped inside. The house was dark and eerie, but she couldn't resist the urge to explore further. As she walked through the dusty corridors, she heard a voice calling out to her.
'Hello, Lily,' the voice said. 'I've been expecting you.'
Lily's heart stopped as she saw a figure emerge from the shadows. It was a man, but his eyes were black as night and his skin was as pale as snow. Yet, there was a hint of sadness in his eyes that drew Lily towards him.
He introduced himself as the sympathetic devil and told her that he had been watching over her from afar, knowing that she was destined for great things. He offered her a deal – he would grant her any wish she desired, but in return, she must promise to always use her powers for good.
Without hesitation, Lily accepted the deal. And for years, she lived a life of happiness and success, using her powers to help those in need. She never forgot the sympathetic devil and often wondered if he was still watching over her.
Years later, when Lily was old and gray, she returned to the abandoned house. To her surprise, the sympathetic devil was still there, waiting for her. He smiled and told her that it was time for her to fulfill her end of the deal.
Lily closed her eyes and took her last breath, knowing that she had lived a life of purpose and that the sympathetic devil had been a true friend all along.
