Standing in the need of inspiration for this week's ZAPFICMonday challenge, I chuckled at myself. My goodness, it's only 240 characters. Surely I can compile a few sentences into a coherent message for the prompt "stain". I just finished lunch, and wouldn't you know it, sauce dripped down on my shirt for want of paying attention.
It's not that I don't remember where my mouth is located. The truth is that sometimes it closes before the food arrives. That's the only explanation I'm willing to divulge, else I'll soon be carted off to a place that will guarantee success in the future. No more ZAPFICs for me.
So I'd best pay attention to my eating habit and the ZAPFICMonday word count. In a way, the title of my story fits my behavior of late.

A stressful bully day ended.
"It's not a stain," Mom assured. "Remember our talk? It's your body's way of signaling that you've moved to another life stage.
Confident, Amy smiled. I knew it! That smart girls' clique isn't as smart after all.

Ante la necesidad de inspiración para el reto ZAPFICMonday de esta semana, me reí de mí mismo. Dios mío, sólo son 240 caracteres. Seguro que puedo recopilar unas cuantas frases en un mensaje coherente para el reto «mancha». Acabo de terminar de comer y, como si nada, me ha caído salsa en la camisa por no haber prestado atención.
No es que no recuerde dónde tengo la boca. Lo cierto es que a veces se cierra antes de que llegue la comida. Esa es la única explicación que estoy dispuesto a divulgar, pues de lo contrario pronto me llevarán a un lugar que me garantice el éxito en el futuro. No más ZAPFICs para mí.
Así que será mejor que preste atención a mi hábito alimenticio y al recuento de palabras del ZAPFICMonday. En cierto modo, el título de mi historia se ajusta a mi comportamiento de los últimos tiempos.

Terminó un estresante día de matones.
