Greetings, participating in @Freewritehouse's daily freewriting prompt! @daily.prompt/18-july-2025-mariannewests-freewrite-writing-prompt-day-2802-credibility
I'm going to share a story that happened to me in college and is related to credibility. I'll change the names to protect identities, but the important thing here is the message:
A young athlete named Juan, who had trained for years to become the best marathon runner in his country, dedicated hours to perfecting his technique, increasing his endurance, and maintaining a balanced diet. Finally, the day of the marathon arrived, and he was ready to give it his all. Juan was very excited; he had worked so hard.
As he walked out to the starting line, he noticed that one of his rivals, an experienced runner named Pablo, seemed to have a surprising physical advantage. However, during the race, he noticed that Pablo was taking prohibited substances to enhance his performance.

As he progressed through the race, he faced a difficult decision: continue running with integrity and risk losing the opportunity to win, or close his eyes to the situation and accept help to achieve his goal, even knowing that it would be a challenge. The help wasn't entirely honest.
After much thought, she decides to take the harder path and maintain her integrity. Run with all her heart and try to cross the finish line knowing she gave her best.
Moral: I believe being honest with yourself is worth much more than any dishonest triumph.
An honor and grateful to be able to participate. Thank you for reading.
I use Google Translate.
