Title: Dig a Trench
Fathers rise before the dawn,
Their hands are weak, their hearts are strong.
They dig for bread, they dig for peace,
In silence where the wars wonβt cease.
A pot of soup, a shared small plate,
A whisper saying, βGod is great.β
Though roofs may leak and lights go black,
We carry love upon our back.
Dig a trench, not just in soil,
But in the pain, in daily toil.
For every drop of sweat we shed,
We plant a dream, we break some bread.
This land is hard, the roads are rough,
But hearts in Nigeria are tough.
With faith and fight, we still belongβ
In tears we dig, in love weβre strong.
