Not All Admiration Is Love – Be Careful
I’ve come to learn that not everyone who admires me truly loves me. Sometimes, people just admire what I have — my talent, my looks, my hard work — not because they appreciate me, but because they want to use me.
One day, someone told me, “You’re doing well, I admire you.” I smiled and felt happy. But later, I found out they only wanted help, and once they got what they wanted, they stopped talking to me.
I’ve also seen how some ladies think admiration is love. A guy starts praising her, calling her sweet names, buying gifts — but deep inside, he just wants something from her. After getting it, he disappears. That’s not love. That’s using someone.
Even me, I’ve faced it. Some people pretend to support me, but their heart is not clean. They just want to benefit from my shine.
That’s why I now ask myself:
Why is this person admiring me? Is it real or fake?
It’s okay to be admired. But I’ve learnt not to trust every sweet word. Real admiration will come with respect, support, and consistency — not just empty praise.
Please be wise. Not everyone clapping for you is happy for you. Open your heart, but use your head.
