Thinking about an ugly truck makes me reflect a few things.
First of all, thinking about how this person who owns the truck does not have the possibility of repairing it or fixing it or leaving it as ugly as it is.
Perhaps, imagining all the possibilities of what can happen, it occurs to me to think about the life of that person, of that owner, of the owner of the truck.
Perhaps he had a great disease that prevented him or prevents him from being able to take care of the maintenance of the truck. Perhaps he is very old and spent all his life driving that truck and now he does not have the necessary strength to dedicate himself to being able to clean and make the truck beautiful, beautify it, and that is why it is ugly.
Perhaps it is simply someone who, for all the number of problems he has in his life, suffered a great depression, and the truck is simply the reflection of how he is, of how he feels, of all the abandonment he has in himself, and that abandonment is reflected in his truck.
Or it is simply someone who likes the appearance of things to be so ugly.
I have seen many cases of criminals and very intelligent people who are not criminals who have made the decision in their life to go unnoticed or that they do not take them into account, with the intention of not drawing attention.
And what better way not to draw attention than having an ugly truck? No one is going to take care of looking at an ugly truck.
Perhaps momentarily they draw their attention because they see that the truck is neglected or does not look good, but for sure, it is something that I think people will not remember.
Generally, the things that are not pleasant are the ones that are not remembered well—at least that's how I think. In my memory processes, all the things that are painful and unpleasant are erased, and I forget them over time. I learn from them, but I forget them.
An ugly truck can be ugly in many ways too, and this is another point to address.
It can be ugly precisely because it has very scary and very worrying noises. Perhaps its engine valves are very worn out, and it smokes. Perhaps it is ugly because not only its appearance is worn out, but it emits an unpleasant smell.
Perhaps it is ugly because it is simply not fashionable—it is a vintage truck, and with the new technologies that exist, the new paints, and the new accessories especially for vehicles, if this is an old-style truck, surely those of the Z generation will think it is an ugly truck.
Perhaps it is simply ugly because it is in an environment where everything is beautiful, and since the truck is vintage and does not fit with the whole scenario in which it is, then that makes it stand out and makes it look much uglier.
Because surely, if it were in an environment that was ugly like it, it would be a truck that was normal.
It could not be said that it is an ugly truck if it is in an ugly environment because it is fitting into what it is. Then surely that truck is not ugly, but it is in a beautiful environment.
I could start to philosophize and say many things about why the truck is ugly, but I think that with these few topics that I have touched for today's prompt, it is enough.
Pensar en un camión feo me hace reflexionar sobre algunas cosas.
En primer lugar, pensar en cómo esta persona que es dueña del camión no tiene la posibilidad de repararlo o arreglarlo o dejarlo tan feo como está. Quizás, imaginando todas las posibilidades de lo que puede ocurrir, se me ocurre pensar en la vida de esa persona, de ese dueño, del propietario del camión.
Quizás tuvo una gran enfermedad que le impidió o le impide poder encargarse del mantenimiento del camión. Tal vez es muy mayor y pasó toda su vida conduciendo ese camión y ahora no tiene la fuerza necesaria para dedicarse a limpiarlo y hacerlo hermoso, embellecerlo, y por eso está feo.
Puede que simplemente sea alguien que, por todos los problemas que tiene en su vida, sufrió una gran depresión, y el camión es simplemente el reflejo de cómo es, de cómo se siente, de todo el abandono que tiene en sí mismo, y ese abandono se refleja en su camión. O es simplemente alguien a quien le gusta que el aspecto de las cosas sea así de feo.
He visto muchos casos de criminales y personas muy inteligentes que no son criminales, que han tomado la decisión en su vida de pasar desapercibidos o de que no los tomen en cuenta, con la intención de no llamar la atención.
¿Y qué mejor manera de no llamar la atención que tener un camión feo? Nadie se va a preocupar por mirar un camión feo; quizás momentáneamente les llame la atención porque ven que el camión está descuidado o no se ve bien, pero seguramente es algo que creo que la gente no recordará.
Generalmente, las cosas que no son agradables son las que no se recuerdan bien; al menos así pienso en mis procesos de memoria.
Todas las cosas que son dolorosas y desagradables se borran y las olvido con el tiempo; aprendo de ellas, pero las olvido.
Un camión feo puede ser feo de muchas maneras también, y este es otro punto a abordar. Puede ser feo precisamente porque tiene ruidos muy alarmantes y muy preocupantes; quizás sus válvulas del motor están muy gastadas y echa humo.
Tal vez es feo porque no solo su apariencia está deteriorada, sino que emite un olor desagradable.
Puede que sea feo porque simplemente no está de moda; es un camión vintage, y con las nuevas tecnologías que existen, las nuevas pinturas y los nuevos accesorios, especialmente para vehículos, si este es un camión de estilo antiguo, seguramente los de la generación Z pensarán que es un camión feo.
Quizás simplemente es feo porque está en un entorno donde todo es hermoso, y como el camión es vintage y no encaja con todo el escenario en el que está, eso hace que destaque y se vea mucho más feo, porque seguramente si estuviera en un entorno que fuera feo como él, sería un camión normal.
No se podría decir que es un camión feo si está en un entorno feo, porque estaría encajando en lo que es; entonces, seguramente ese camión no es feo, pero está en un entorno hermoso.
Podría empezar a filosofar y decir muchas cosas sobre por qué el camión es feo, pero creo que con estos pocos temas que he tocado para el prompt de hoy es suficiente.
