Let's dive into the most common comparisons of Rich vs Poor status/perks to live as. Hehe, I know we all have a saturated mindset and know everything ins and out. But still, we do have some philosophy, have some observations and things to say about. Few might clash with you, unknown to you, or pretty common to you all.
To me, rich and the poor, both are winners in their own ways. Few get to enjoy the perks of the material world and few get to enjoy the perks of spiritual ones. Both clashes oftentimes, like you can get spiritual satisfaction through material perks or it may lead to spiritual destruction as well. And the vice versa works as well, where we do search for spiritual satisfaction via materialistic gains.
Dhaka, if you have an idea about the city, you may mostly recall a heavily dense population, severe traffic jams, and polluted air. Got listed within the top worst cities to live in. This is the capital of bangladesh. But wait, if you pick to explore a few specific areas, like Gulshan, Banani, Bashundhara R/A you would see the poshness of Dhaka. How organised the areas are, all the buildings are well-architectured and planned wisely, wide roads, less vehicles, more than enough trees to give you the vibe that these areas are truly planned to be an ideal place to live in. The crowd is less as well because the living standards are too high there. With the rent of one month here, you can pay for three to four months in other places, in a good apartment.
What did I tried to portrait here? The ideal side of the story is that we can buy with money, with the richness we can afford that ideal lifestyle that is recommended or more than the bar. The materialistic perks are redeemed but can the ensure spiritual satisfaction? With bare eyes, the answer could be yes but the truth stats something else, from personal experiences.
From the area I live in, within a distance of ten minutes of walking, there are garments and the workers living in slums. They do run small businesses after evening for some extra money to run their businesses. During winter, we used to go to have pitha (cakes)in a tiny, broken shop. A woman with her elderly father used to sell. No doubts about their financial status falling under the radder. As we used to go in a regular basis, and spent ten to fifteen hours on average, we used to hear different conversations about them with the locals. One thing we were sure about, they might be missing the perks of materialistic lifestyle but they are spiritually quite rich and satisfied. No complaints, no greed, thoughts were solid and the intentions pure, and most important, the contentment were at their fullest.
So yeah, none wants to live miserable, everyone wants smoothness, power, and money. Some get these yet live a miserable life and some get to feel contempt without having the wealth.
