Story: From Arrogance to Humility: A Story of Redemption
Once there was a man who always loved to travel around the world, and he was careless about his life. He always spent money on precious things and showed off his bank balance to his friends. His name was Jonathan, and he was the only son of his billionaire dad. He always told his friends that everything in the world can be bought with money and without money, you're nothing.
He planned a trip to Auckland, and during his trip, he made fun of a waitress because of her appearance. She was poor and struggling in her life. The girl just smiled and said, "Always be thankful to God for what you have. If you're not, one day you will learn it." She left the restaurant where she worked. The rich man didn't hear her advice and enjoyed his tour.
While driving a car, he met with an accident and killed a Mafia member of the city. When the goons of this man heard the news, they searched for him everywhere in the city. Jonathan hid in his friend's farmhouse. When he was there, he found that the waitress he had mocked in the restaurant worked there as a gardener. He asked his friend about her, and his friend told him that she was a patient of brain tumor and didn't have enough money to hospitalize herself. She also had two little children to feed.
When he heard her story, he was quite embarrassed about his behavior. He went to her house to apologize and discovered that his children were hungry, and she didn't have enough money to feed them. He went to the market, purchased some food items, and put the basket of items outside her door with an apology letter.
Around a week passed, and he noticed that the woman was not there for work. He went to her house and discovered that she had passed away the day before, and her kids had been sent to an orphanage. This incident hit him so hard that he cried in front of the orphanage. After that incident, he decided to take responsibility for the children and, as the condition of the city was now stable, he took the children with him as their guardian.
This incident gave him inspiration, and he opened free cancer and brain tumor disease hospitals in that city and also in his hometown, NYC.
