This is my post for #freewriters 2783 prompt grandfather paradox hosted by @mariannewest
Can a rabbit get mad if you break its routine? Yesterday was the first time I didn't collect yard weeds and grass for Rudy, and this morning, I think he let me know about it.
Every morning, I cut him an apple slice, and when I open his cage, he will run for me but stop before going out of the cage. He will then start making a clicking sound, I call it, he is talking to me. I can hold the apple for him to take a bite, and I can pet him.
When I tried to give him his apple, he ran partway toward me and stopped. He made a growling sound at me and spun around and ran to the furthest end of his cage, and turned his back to me. My heart sank!!! He did not eat his apple this morning.
He now has all his usual food, and I always give him a carrot when he sticks his nose out his window.
Now I am worried about him, he would not take the carrot from my hand. I wonder if he is getting sick.
I left the carrot sitting there and will check on him in a few minutes. I do not know what to do if he is getting sick, it will crush my soul.
I had to look up what a grandfather paradox meant, and from what I can tell, you would go back in time to kill your own grandpa, and by doing that, you would also kill yourself. So if Rudy is sick, maybe there is a rabbit grandfather paradox and I could go back in time and take care of his grandpa, then I would not mourn Rudy when he passes.
It has been 30 minutes, and the carrot is still there. Please, Lord, let there be nothing wrong with him. Prayers for Rudy.
I lifted the box he sleeps in, and he is just sitting there. He looks ok but shows no interest in his carrot.
