Esta es la historia de un joven llamado Kevin, un redactor de artículos de prensa con mucha ambición. Él se dispuso a viajar por toda Venezuela para reunir suficiente material para publicar su propia historia. En medio de su recorrido, hace una parada en una hermosa ciudad.
Al pasar los días turisteando, Kevin decide dar por terminada la visita y comienza a hacer los preparativos para partir mañana por la mañana. Sin embargo, por mero ocio y por pura casualidad, esa misma tarde Kevin se dispone a ir a una Biblioteca para distraer su mente, ya que él es un sujeto culto con clase, fanático de la literatura clásica.
Estando ahí, sentado en su cómoda silla junto a los estantes, leyendo su novela de preferencia, en medio de su divagar, de pronto desvía la mirada para observar sus alrededores. Ahí, sentada a lo lejos, vio a una hermosa señorita que se robo su total atención.
Ella es Vanessa, una joven estudiante de enfermería que se encuentra leyendo un libro sobre anatomía.
Kevin quedo embelesado a primera vista, se levanto de su asiento y camino hasta ella para dirigirle la palabra. Ambos hacen contacto visual, se sonríen, se saludan y se presentan.
Tiempo despues, Kevin y Vanessa pasan tiempo juntos, La química que tienen hacen que el conocerse el uno al otro sea una experiencia sensacional; Ella es animosa y encantadora, y él muy simpático y gracioso, eran el uno para el otro.
Ese encuentro fortuito cambió por completo los planes que tenia Kevin para el fututo.
Los días pasan y ellos comienzan a verse a menudo, hasta hacerse inseparables. Comienzan a tener sitas casuales: Van a cenar a un sitio humilde, él tiende un mantel en una mesa y esas cosas. Van a visitar una de las plazas de la ciudad para pasear tomados de la mano. Entre otras cosas.
Ellos simpatizan y se acercan mutuamente de una forma personal y pasional, antes de que pudieran saber mucho más acerca del otro, se compartieron el cariño que se tenían íntimamente con toda naturalidad sin darle importancia a nada mas... Ni siquiera al pasar del tiempo. Pasan los días juntos sin preocuparse por el futuro.
Una noche, en un bar, la pareja fue a beber cerveza y a conversar sobre cosas personales entre ellos. Todo les esta yendo de maravilla, Kevin se pensaba que ya no necesitaba ir a ninguna parte y que ya no le hacía falta terminar su trabajo soñado: él quería estar a su lado, por lo que se esperaba el momento indicado para confesarle sus sentimientos a Vanessa...
Pero ocurrió algo inesperado.
En medio de su intima conversación, de pronto se les acerco un chico que inmediatamente le brindo un cordial saludo a Vanessa, esta se sorprende y presenta al chico como un compañero de clases.
Al verlo, Kevin muestra recelo y disconformidad. Vanessa se soltó a platicar con el chico sobre cosas que Kevin no entendía al no tener contexto, para no ser mal tercio, Kevin se retiro unos minutos para ir al baño.
Al regresar, y ver de lejos a Vanessa conversar con ese chico con tanta naturalidad y cercanía; Surgieron los pensamientos intrusivos que inquietan el corazón. Kevin de pronto pensó muy mal de ese chico, le molestaba que se mostrara tan simpático con su chica, empezó a creer que él también quería tener algo con Vanessa... Ese mal presentimiento le agito el corazón, los celos nublaron su razón y ese instinto posesivo lo volvió impulsivo.
Kevin se acerco súbitamente entre esos 2 y aparto al chico de la cercanía de Vanessa de un buen empujón. Todos los presentes en el bar quedan pasmados, incluso el mismo Kevin. Vanessa le reclamo por lo sucedido y ambos tienen una discusión acalorada.
Kevin se defendió al estar disgustado, pero Vanessa le increpa sobre su mala manera de actuar.
Se supone que esa noche ellos iban a unirse como pareja, pero Kevin de pronto se halla desolado, incomprendido y perdido. Él se retiro del lugar sin decirle nada más a Vanessa...
Se distancia de ella por problemas emocionales de los cuales no tenía idea de su existencia.
Cuando la pasión agoniza, solo hay disgusto e incomodidad de por medio. Kevin se niega a establecer todo tipo de contacto con Vanessa, aunque recibía mensajes y llamadas de su parte, simplemente ignoraba todo lo que tuviera que ver con ella.
Como la vergüenza lo guiaba a tomar una decisión drástica, Kevin se planteaba seriamente en darle vuelta a la página y marcharse de la ciudad para tratar de superar su pesar en otra parte.
Pero tuvo una revelación: Huir de los problemas no era ninguna solución, evadir los obstáculos no proporciona nada bueno... Amar es un acto de fe ciega en el que depositas toda la confianza en la otra persona, por lo que teniendo esas cosas en cuenta, Kevin se pone a reflexionar hasta hallar una respuesta.
Tras tantos días atrapado en la monotonia, Kevin se anima a actuar con madures, llama a Vanessa por teléfono y le pide que se reúnan en la biblioteca para hablar a solas.
Una vez ahí, ambos se sientan a hablar acerca de su relación, Kevin primero se disculpa por lo ocurrido la otra noche y luego le confiesa que su actuar fue porque realmente está enamorado de ella, pero que se encuentra muy apenado por no saber manejarse con sentimientos tan complicados.
Vanessa le aconseja seriamente que si realmente quiere llevar las cosas al siguiente nivel, va a tener que arreglar ese mal temperamento.
Kevin le aclara que solo vino a disculparse y que desea encontrar una solución a sus conflictos internos a su lado; que entenderá si ella prefiere pasar un tiempo separados, pero que sin importar donde este siempre la tendrá en cuenta y la querrá a su manera.
Ambos se reconcilian y llegan a un acuerdo...
Unos meses después, llegó el tan postergado día de comprometerse y hacerse responsable de las promesas autoimpuestas, de realizarse y retomar el camino pese a las adversidades.
Kevin se prepara para partir de la ciudad, de continuar con su viaje para avanzar y convertirse en mucho más de lo que es actualmente.
Las experiencias amargas pueden volverse agridulces, se aprende más de uno mismo al pasar por dificultades: Se obtienen respuestas a preguntas como ¿qué tan fuerte somos por dentro? y ¿Qué clase de persona quieres llegar a ser?
Ese día, Kevin estaba listo para comenzar una nueva aventura, como una nueva persona. Cargando maletas y mochilas encima, se dispuso a ir al terminal para tomar un autobús con rumbo a un lugar lejano... Una vez que llega al lugar, no era capaz de irse sin antes despedirse de alguien muy especial.
Vanessa, ella se encontraba esperándolo en la parada desde temprano. Ellos al verse, la melancolía se hace presenté... No había mucho que se pudieran decir: un simple "Adiós y Cuídate" no era lo indicado, ni siquiera un "Hasta muy pronto"

Everything is going great, Kevin thought he didn't need to go anywhere anymore and that he didn't need to finish his dream job: he wanted to be by her side, so he was waiting for the right moment to confess his feelings to Vanessa...
But something unexpected happened.
In the middle of their intimate conversation, they are suddenly approached by a boy who immediately offers a cordial greeting to Vanessa, who is surprised and introduces the boy as a classmate.

After so many days trapped in monotony, Kevin is encouraged to act maturely, calls Vanessa on the phone and asks her to meet him in the library to talk alone.
Once there, the two sit down to talk about their relationship, Kevin first apologizes for what happened the other night and then confesses to her that his action was because he is really in love with her, but that he is very sorry for not knowing how to deal with such complicated feelings.
Vanessa earnestly advises him that if he really wants to take things to the next level, he's going to have to fix that bad temper.
Kevin makes it clear to her that he only came to apologize and that he wants to find a solution to his inner conflicts by her side; that he will understand if she prefers to spend time apart, but that no matter where he is he will always keep her in mind and love her in his own way.
The two of them reconcile and come to an agreement....
A few months later, the long overdue day to commit and take responsibility for self-imposed promises, to fulfill themselves and get back on track despite the odds, arrives.
Kevin prepares to leave town, to continue his journey to move forward and become much more than he is today.
Bitter experiences can turn bittersweet, you learn more about yourself by going through hardships: You get answers to questions like how strong are you on the inside and what kind of person do you want to become?
That day, Kevin was ready to start a new adventure, as a new person. Carrying suitcases and backpacks on him, he set out to go to the terminal to catch a bus bound for a faraway place.... Once he arrived at the place, he was not able to leave without saying goodbye to someone very special.
Vanessa, she was waiting for him at the bus stop early in the morning. When they saw each other, melancholy was present... There was not much they could say to each other: a simple “Goodbye and take care of yourself” was not the right thing to say, not even a “See you soon.
Since those words are not necessary when you know in your heart that the other feels or felt a lot of affection.
Vanessa only said a few banal words by way of farewell, Kevin just smiled and replied, “Thank you.”
