She looked happier. She was walking taller, with confidence and grace. Her hair had been cut and styled earlier that day. She'd had her nails done, top and bottom. Her dress fit beautifully, and her breath was sweet. And let's not forget the perfect shoes.
The shoes had literally fallen from the sky. She was driving under an overpass, when they fell onto the hood of her car, nearly causing an accident. She swerved to the right hoping the shoes would fall off, but they'd gotten hooked on a windsheild wiper, and were obstructing her view. She pulled over to remove them.
When she touched the shoes, she began to buzz. That's right, buzz. A very pleasant little buzz, just a quiet vibration, which brought with it a change in the light, everything downright rosier! That's it! Rosier!
So when she put on the shoes to go out that night, with her fancy hairdo, nails, dress, and shoes, she walked with a sparkle and a hum.
This is my entry to @mariannewest's daily freewrite challenge. Today's prompt is she looked happier.
