Again it moves away, seeking refuge,
fleeing from the beating of our heart.
In the distance it seeks relief,
in silences of dusk and early mornings without reason.
Once again it takes away the key to my soul,
leaving me locked in a cruel labyrinth.

ignoring messages with discourteous disdain.
On his mobile device lie yearnings,
messages anchored, clamours to return.
Yet again and again he flees from these sleeplessnesses,
leaving me a void impossible to fill.
