Murgatroyd (Mergy to his friends) and Muriel were sitting together enjoying each other’s company.
They had been doing this for several years now and had often wondered how fortunate they both were to have discovered each other.
It was a beautiful summers day when they met, both had been sitting near the pond in Waters Park. Murgatroyd had never seen Muriel before and when he set his eyes upon her he was mesmerised.
Oh, My he thought and swooned.
Muriel came over to him and said hello, well it took Murgatroyd just about all his courage to respond and when he did it came out all a splutter.
Muriel laughed and that made Murgatroyd smile.
It was love at first site for both of them and they became pretty much inseparable since that meeting.
They would go on Picnics together, frolic in the long grass together, sit under the shade of a tree, and even decided to move in together.
Murgatroyd was smitten and could not even imagine his life without Muriel.
Muriel was also smitten.
From the first moment she saw Murgatroyd sitting in the park she was fascinated, she laughed at the thought of how shy he was when they first met and how confident he had become over time. He certainly had no trouble conversing with her these days and would often take the lead in any activities that they chose to do.
Muriel was so happy to have found Murgatroyd.
This particular fine day, they were once again sitting next to the pond at Waters Park , when Muriel just could not hold back on her expression of love anymore – She looked up at Murgatroyd and said –
You know what Mergy (after all she was a friend) I am so happy that we found each other, I am so in love with you that I could just burst, I absolutely love spending my life in your company and isn’t it just wonderful that we get along so well. I do not even mind the foibles that you have because I love you Warts and All
Murgatroyd looked at Muriel and said, come on then let’s hop over to the other side of the pond and catch some flies,
With that they both hopped over the Lily Pads, in tandem, to get to the other side and have some lunch.
