Centuries ago, nomadic passers-by came across a green and pleasant land. They were tired of moving from place to place and not having somewhere to call home, so they decided to settle in this land.
For a long time, everything was going well and the inhabitants of the land lived happily until one night the devil, who was sleeping deep in the soil of the land, woke up and when he saw the happiness of the people there, he became furious.
The devil disguised himself as a soothsayer and went to the people and said to them:
"You must immediately choose a king for yourself."
"We run this place as a group and we don't need a king."
"What if there is a difference of opinion between you? There must be one who has the last word... I warn you! I have seen the future of this land in my glass orb, and I must say that if you do not choose a king for yourself at once, you will lose your dear land and be displaced again in this great world."
The people were horrified to hear these words and decided to choose a king for themselves. But the problem was that everyone saw themselves as more worthy than others for this position, and because of this, there was a conflict between people.
Some disappeared without the slightest trace of them being found. The bodies of some people were seen hanging from the rope, as if they had killed themselves. And some died for no reason.
The smell of death was in the air and the devil was breathing it and enjoying it. Finally, the happiness of the people of that land was being destroyed. But while it seemed that everything was lost, something unexpected happened and changed the situation.
Wild tribes invaded the land and the people were forced to put aside enmity and hypocrisy and unite with each other in order to defeat the invaders. In the meantime, there was a person who showed the most bravery and played the most important role in driving the enemies out of the land.
This person's name was Cassius, and because of his services, the people chose him as their king. Peace and tranquility returned to the land and discontent and anger plagued the devil again.
This time he disguised himself as a handsome man and approached the queen to deceive her. But the queen was very righteous and was not influenced by his seductions in any way.
One night, the devil, who was known in his new form as Brutus, took a dagger and plunged it into his side, and writhing in pain, he went to the queen's room and knocked on the door.
The queen opened the door and her face turned pale when she saw him.
"My God! What happened to you?"
And she brought him inside and laid him on her bed. Brutus replied, bleeding profusely.
"Some of the courtiers attacked me and tried to kill me. They are jealous of my friendship with you."
The queen took out some clean cloth and started bandaging his wound. At this moment, one of the spies who had seen Brutus enter the queen's room immediately went to the courtiers and explained what he had seen.
The courtiers along with the guards immediately rushed to the queen's room to arrest her. The queen said in an angry tone:
"What is the meaning of this offensive behavior?"
One of the courtiers addressed the guards:
"Arrest the queen immediately."
The guards walked up to the queen and grabbed her arms.
Queen:
"How dare you treat me like this? I am your queen."
The courtier grinned.
"Yes, but a treacherous queen."
"I did nothing wrong."
"Don't deny it, your majesty. Evidence of your crime is lying on the bed."
"Brutus was badly wounded and took refuge in me. I brought him into my room to take care of him."
A courtier said to Brutus:
"Is this true?"
Brutus sat down and lowered his head and said in an ashamed tone:
"No, my lord."
The color jumped from the queen's face:
"What are you saying? Show them your wound."
Brutus stood up and said:
"There is no injury."
The queen saw that Brutus' side was completely intact and her eyes widened in astonishment.
"No, that's not possible."
The queen was taken to prison and a courier was sent to the king, who was preparing to go to the battlefield with a group of his fighters in the border areas, to inform him of his wife's betrayal.
This news was so shocking to King Cassius that he left the border fortress and rode away from there on horseback. One of the commanders ran to him.
"Your Highness, we are now in a critical situation. The enemy has crossed the border and your soldiers will go to the battlefield in a few minutes. If not you, then who will lead them?"
The king replied in a pained tone:
"You do it, Augustus. My heart is broken. It's broken into a thousand pieces."
Augustus said with a firm face.
"Your highness, you know very well that it is not possible for the queen to betray you. It is clear that the courtiers have framed her.
Please don't let their conspiracy affect your spirit. Stay with your loyal companions and fight."
King Cassius stared at Augustus' face for a few moments and the sadness on his face gradually gave way to determination.
"You're right, Augustus."
And in this way he went to the battlefield with his companions and defeated the enemies and returned to the palace victoriously. On the other hand, in the queen's court, a servant testified that Brutus was wounded when he entered the queen's room, and in this way, the queen's innocence was proven.
The guards searched everywhere in the palace, the city and the country to find Brutus, but they did not reach any results.
At that time, the devil was sitting in his nest in the depths of the land and was staring at an unknown point with an agitated face.
"My plan failed this time too. But it doesn't really matter. I will finally extinguish the light of this land."
And started giggling.
