It was 2012 when I first start using internet and learn how to open email address, how to open social media account and so on. Later I realize I'm not using internet or social media, actually they were using me as lots of time killed by time passing them. I made many virtual friends and made fun by posting photos and treads.
Those day were colorful. Anyway, later I get involved to writing platforms that pays for views on them. But that's not my discussion topic today. My discussion topic is, how I wasted my time in social media and got addicted to it. You may wonder or laugh at me, I changed 3-4 time (sometimes more than that) my profile picture in social media.
Sometimes I uploaded selfies and sometimes I uploaded symbolic image like photo of a sad girl or happy girl, anime or something look good as default picture. Sometimes I set profile pic with the image of model's and actress. Times has changed! Its 10 years now and I forget when I last time update my social media profile picture and cover photo and my virtual friends may think I'm no more because the girl change profile pic everyday she is no longer changing or updating in social media past few years.
Yes, I left social media and start journey with blockchain based blogging platform that worth my time. I prefer decentralized platforms now. I'm busy with something really deserves my time. Now I'm no longer active with time killer social media for chitchats or gossip.
I love the change blockchain brings in my life and I wish to hold it till the rest of my life inshaAllah (if Almighty allow me for this). Let my social media friends think that I'm no more in the earth. I made my another world to live where I'm damn happy because it knows the value of my time. So finally I've had successfully overcome the social media addiction.
I'm active on Twitter for promoting blogs in blockchain platform and promote crypto currencies as much possible from my side. Almighty Allah already blessed me with good friends here and real life so I've no need to spend time on social media to look for loyal and helpful friends virtually. If ever I'll be active on social media, the purpose will be my work or business promotion, nothing else!
