I was born in Ghana, let me be a bit realistic, I was born in a village I recently found out was also found on the map.
Growing up, I always asked God why I deserve this place. Why was I not born in one of these fancy and really cool places around the world.
Why do I have to walk miles to access education.
Why must I suffer the pain of ignorance.
Why ?
The sound of an aeroplane flying over my community gave me some kind of joy, as if seeing the aeroplane was a great achievement.
After this moment of short joy, it results to gnashing of teeth and change of mood. my head keeps beeping and almost seems pregnant with wishes.
All this, I called pain.
But later, I realized I was been trained for a journey ahead. I realized most of the things I am able to do now is as a result of where I grew up. The negative things in the outer world that would've seeped deep into me are by no other reason not part of me as a result of where I was born.
I realized everything that happened, is happening or will happen is for a great reason.
From the Holy Bible, Joseph was sold into slavery. I am very sure at the moment he was been sold he must have said the worst things to himself and God. he must have harboured internal hatred and anger coupled with pain.
But see, he was sent there to be a blessing to his family, including they that sold him out.
Everything happens for a reason, just stop and think.
Don't be overweighed by the present happenings. There is light at the end of the tunnel, as they say.
Your disadvantages today will be your greatest help in the near future.
Have you heard of the great mountain climber that is so good in his sport and when he was asked how and where he started training he referred back to the broke days, the days he lived in the cottage full of mountains, no electricity and hunting was their main source of feeding.
He accounted that, he climbed mountains to survive. He was not intentionally training for his present days.
