Marcie thought about Fred, it had been several weeks since she had seen him and Police hadn’t found him yet. I wonder why he left, were things that bad here? She tried to recall the events of the last time they had been together, Fred was unhappy, they argued and it got out of hand. Marcie had a vague memory of pushing and shoving and then no more. She woke up the next day and he wasn’t there. She thought about their daughter and how she might explain what happened to her dad when she wasn’t sure herself.
Marcie made a second attempt to focus on her work, she was trying to focus while she was in the office. Over the last few weeks the smell of the local farm was getting worse. Marcie printed a document but the ink had run out so she went to the cupboard to get some more toner, opened the door and to her horror Fred’s arm fell out. Marcie screamed, emptied the contents of her stomach onto the carpet, the stench was intoxicating and there were flies everywhere. Marcie stopped screaming for enough time to re fill her lungs with air before screaming again.
Once she calmed she took a look at Fred and was horrified, he was dead, someone had killed him. Marcie ran from the home office to inform the police Fred had been killed.
