Today I am not so happy.
My aquarium wrapped in bubble wrap has survived the winter well. Extra plants fill the whole thing so that the water stays warmer and then... the pump breaks down. That does not have to be so bad because my bio tank has been working for a few years without a pump or filter and I only started with this a few months ago. So when the pump was suspected of being broken I ordered a new one and hop, back to the old system. Part of the water out and part new. It all looked good and it should have been there yesterday. This morning it was a nasty surprise to see how all the fish were floating dead on the surface. Water pollution?
All the fish? As far as I can see in the whole plant kingdom only 1 orange fish is still alive, just that one stressed chicken that always made life miserable for the others. I hope that 3 more survived. I changed some of the water again and then there was a honking sound: the new pump has arrived.
