Leg muscles are one of the most ignored muscle groups in the body. If you go to a gym you'll see majority of the people having an amazing upper body but their lower bodies are like chicken legs. That's because leg exercises are tough to do and take a long time for the results to show. So almost nobody works on them. But there are tremendous benefits of working out the leg muscles. They are:
- Leg muscles are the largest muscle group in your body and when you work them out, you burn a lot of calories fast and this will fire up your metabolism.
- Increased metabolism means you will be burning fat even when you're not working out.
- Leg days also help in boosting your testosterone levels which equates to faster progress in reaching your fitness goals.
- A strong lower body will also help in avoiding chronic conditions such as arthritis and heart disease.
- Strong lower body equates to a strong foundation for your body. This helps in improving your movements and athletic performance.
