Me dio muchísima alegría ver que @hiveargentina tenía semejante iniciativa tan bonita, no solo porque amo a los animales y a los perros en particular, sino porque me da la oportunidad de hablar de una experiencia personal de adopción y amor que me gustaría compartir con ustedes 🤗 así que iniciemos con su permiso iniciemos con esto😉
I was so happy to see that @hiveargentina had such a lovely initiative, not only because I love animals and dogs in particular, but because it gives me the opportunity to talk about a personal experience of adoption and love that I would like to share with you 🤗 so we will start with this, with your permission😉
El 31 de diciembre del año pasado mientras yo iba a acompañar a mi hija menor a la parada del autobús vimos a quien se convertiría en el amor de nuestra vida, un pequeño bebé peludo y frágil, solo miren cuan pequeño era. Así que al ver que no estaba su madre cerca y que posiblemente alguien terminaría lastimándolo (ya que estaba cerca de la avenida) decidimos llevarlo a casa. Al principio dimos aviso a través de los estados de Whatsaap para ver si alguien quería y podía adoptarlo, ya que nosotros ya teníamos una mascota en casa (un hermoso gato llamado Ron) pero debido a que nadie manifestó su deseo por adoptar al pequeño perrito decidimos conservarlo y llamarlo Harry 🤗
On December 31st of last year, while I was walking my youngest daughter to the bus stop, we saw the one who would become the love of our lives, a small, furry, and fragile baby. Just look how small he was. So, seeing that his mother wasn't around and that someone would possibly end up hurting him (since he was near the avenue), we decided to take him home. At first, we sent word through WhatsApp statuses to see if anyone wanted and could adopt him, since we already had a pet at home (a beautiful cat named Ron), but since no one expressed a desire to adopt the little dog, we decided to keep him and name him Harry 🤗
Lo llevamos al veterinario para asegurarnos de que estuviese bien, recibió sus vacunas y desde luego un buen baño y una buena alimentación, pero lo que le dimos de sobra hasta llegar a la sobre dosis fue amor, muchísimo amor 😍 tanto que creo que es un malcriado consentido.
We took him to the vet to make sure he was okay, he got his shots and of course a good bath and a good diet, but what we gave him beyond measure, to the point of overdosing, was love, so much love 😍 so much that I think he's a spoiled brat.
Conozco una organización que se encarga de rescatar animales pero no la consideré una opción para llevar a Harry en un principio (antes de que decidiéramos adoptarlo) porque sé que está sobre poblada, sobre todo por gatos. Cuando fuimos a llevar a nuestro gato para su cirugía de castración pude comprobar de primera mano lo bien que tratan a los animales allí y todo el amor que les brindan sus cuidadoras, pero lamentablemente reciben muy poca ayuda y cada vez llegan más animales, por eso considero que la esterilización es una buena opción para evitar la sobre población, pero debería ser una jornada masiva, y al mismo tiempo una buena opción es iniciar campañas muy grandes que fomenten la adopción. Estas organizaciones normalmente hacen mucho con muy pocos recursos, pero cuando ellos hacen jornadas de esterilización y consultas veterinarias todos podemos beneficiarnos, lo cuál hace que sea más accesible el hecho de tener una mascota. Porque es importante recordar que no se debe adoptar por capricho sino por amor, teniendo verdadero compromiso y entrega total con ese nuevo miembro de tu familia, debes brindarle apoyo incondicional y satisfacer sus necesidades.
I know an organization that rescues animals, but I didn't consider it as an option for Harry at first (before we decided to adopt him) because I know it's overcrowded, especially with cats. When we went to take our cat for his spay/neuter surgery, I saw firsthand how well they treat the animals there and how much love their caregivers give them. Unfortunately, they receive very little help, and more and more animals are arriving. That's why I think spay/neuter is a good option to prevent overpopulation. However, it should be a massive effort. At the same time, a good option is to start large-scale adoption campaigns. These organizations usually do a lot with very few resources, but when they hold spay/neuter drives and veterinary consultations, we can all benefit, which makes pet ownership more accessible. It's important to remember that you shouldn't adopt on a whim, but out of love. You should have true commitment and complete dedication to this new member of your family. You must provide unconditional support and meet their needs.
Si creo que los perros rescatados son más cariñosos. Harry era muy pequeño cuando lo rescatamos de la calle pero aún así yo siento su agradecimiento y su amor. Los perros tienen muchas maneras de demostrar afecto y su mirada lo dice todo. Cuando me levanto por las mañanas y salgo de mi habitación siempre me da los buenos días moviendo su colita, se levanta sobre sus patas traseras y se empina para que yo pueda besarlo. Otras veces cuando salgo de la casa llora por mi o por los demás miembros de la familia, pero cuando regresamos a casa demuestra toda su alegría.
Yes, I do think rescue dogs are more affectionate. Harry was very young when we rescued him from the street, but I still feel his gratitude and love. Dogs have many ways of showing affection, and their eyes say it all. When I wake up in the morning and leave my room, he always says good morning with a wagging tail. He stands up on his hind legs and stands up straight so I can kiss him. Other times, when I leave the house, he cries for me or the other family members, but when we return home, he shows his full joy.
Desde que lo rescaté de la calle siento una gran satisfacción al saber que cambié su vida, y el a su vez llenó la mía de mucha luz y felicidad, llegó justo en el momento indicado como un regalo de año nuevo, como si Dios le hubiese dicho "en este año nuevo tendrás una vida nueva" así que no me arrepiento en lo absoluto de haberlo traído a casa y convertirlo en un miembro más de mi familia. amamos a Harry con todo nuestro corazón 🤗 😍.
Since I rescued him from the streets, I feel a great satisfaction knowing that I changed his life, and he in turn filled mine with light and happiness. He arrived just at the right time, like a New Year's gift, as if God had told him, "This New Year, you'll have a new life," so I don't regret bringing him home at all and making him a member of my family. We love Harry with all our hearts. 🤗😍
