Si hay un personaje que siempre llamó mi atención, desde que comencé a leer los suplementos o comiquitas, que llegaban al país, fue la emblemática Mafalda, hija del famoso Quino. Un padre que la convirtió en una niña resabiada y con carácter. De ella, siempre me gustó su manera de decir las cosas, lo educada que era en temas políticos y sobre todo, lo documentada que estaba con relación a los sucesos en el mundo.
Ella para mí, significaba, el descubrimiento de los sucesos más relevantes en el universo real. Aunque Quino siempre la mantuvo niña, los mensajes que nos hacía llegar, a quienes leíamos sus tiras cómicas, eran el sueño de crecer y convertirse en adulto, viviendo en un mundo mejor. La realidad es, que ella no creció, pero su entorno la veía como una niña a quien había que escuchar.
Su fanatismo por los Beatles, logró encantarme, pues para cuando yo comencé a leerla, también me fascinaban. Disfrutaba y me reía a carcajadas, cuando discutía con su amiga Susanita, al escuchar las barbaridades que decía. En su hogar, había una palabra que no podía escuchar, porque sus cabellos se crispaban más de lo normal, era la bendita sopa. Cada vez que la madre le servía sopa, ella, casi sufría un colapso. Entonces corría a su cuarto a buscar, imitando la conducta de la madre, unas píldoras que ella inventó y llamó, “nervocalm”.
En fin, ayer ante todo cuanto pude ver en el Mercado de San Telmo, en Buenos Aires, decidí comenzar por el tema que me regaló tantos momentos hermosos durante mi adolescencia, juventud y que ahora de adulta, continúa …
La vi, sentadita sobre un gran barril, esperando que los visitantes la saluden y continúen leyendo sus travesuras y mensajes que para mí, contienen muchas verdades. Los invito a leerlos. Mafalda la de Quino, así la llamaba, cuando iba a la librería a comprar mis comiquitas. Mafalda siempre será uno de los personajes de comiquitas, que formó parte importante en el trayecto de mi vida y que aún conservo. ¡Gracias Quino!

If there is a character that always caught my attention, ever since I started reading the supplements or comics that arrived in the country, it was the emblematic Mafalda, daughter of the famous Quino. I always liked her way of saying things, how educated she was in political issues and above all, how well documented she was in relation to the events in the world. I enjoyed and laughed out loud when she would argue with her friend Susanita, listening to the outrageous things she said. In her home, there was one word she could not hear, because her hair would stand on end, it was the blessed soup. Every time her mother served her soup, she almost collapsed. Then she would run to her room to fetch, imitating her mother's behavior, some pills that she invented and called "nervocalm". For her, those who ruled the earth were good for nothing, and because of them the world was broken, and she always put her bandages on it to heal it. She popularized the famous phrase.
