I blinked. He grinned. "To bleat in G-major, not just to snoop!"
I gasped, then wheezed, then fell off the chair,
Because the mental image was too much to bear.
Then came another, "What do lazy cows do all day?"
"I don't know." — "They just moo-ch
around and eat sachet crayfish, I guess!"
I held my ribs, almost rolled on the floor,
Laughing like never before. I begged, "No more!"
In that moment, he laughed too,
Eyes dangling with mischief,
But behind that smile...was something brief.
A flicker, a pause, a shadow in his every grin—A quiet sorrow he buried in
He told a joke to lighten the air,
to lighten me.
Yet his heart was hiding something it couldn't share.
"Something behind the laughter
is yet unclear," i reasoned.
Still, I laughed my heart out at his every word— loud and free.
A moment of joy... just him and me
