High in the sky for all to see
An omen of uncertainty?
Is it the beginning of something new
Or the ending of something old
No one knows for sure
Red moon rising
Hopes for a better tomorrow
Fears of yesterday
Will better times beckon us
Or will bad times continue to haunt us
No one knows for sure
Red moon rising
Darkness and shadows of the night
Keep our secrets hidden
Can the light of the day
Reveal the truth we have ignored
No one knows for sure
Red moon rising
The fate of mankind
Hangs in the air
Can we rise from the ashes like phoenixes
Or disappear from the earth like dinosaurs
No one knows for sure
