I have to say that I love Wine.com! Living in wine country here on the Central Coast of California has it's perks for wine lovers. But the good wine stores are about a 30 min drive from me. Sure we have a kick ass locally owned super market that stocks the shelves with all the local wine, but even then the selection does sometimes get boring. I have always been hesitate on ordering wine online. One reason being the shipping can be outrageous, and then two waiting for the delivery, so you can sign to show proof of your age is a hassle that is a big turn off!

With Wine.com, you can have your order shipped to a Walgreens. Then you can pick it up on your own time. The other thing that I love about this site, is the StewardShip member program, where your order ships free. You just pay 49$ a year! Not bad for being able to get just about any wine you want with their massive inventory. It is so cool to be able to browse wines from a specific country, all the way down to a specific growing region. You can even browse by bottle age. But another thing that I love about Wine.com, is the customer service. We all know that sometimes you could get a flawed bottle of wine that has been 'Corked'. If you encounter this, they are happy to replace your tainted wine.

A while back I purchased a nice bottle of wine for a very special occasion. But to my surprise it was tainted! The next day I informed customer service, and they gave me a store credit. I went ahead and used that credit for the above bottle of Red Burgundy. This bottle was not flawed, but in fact some of the best wine of my life, as are all Pinot Noir from this famed region. Seriously, I have yet to have any bad wine from this region, and I am in the low price point side of life. I can only imagine what a Grand Cru with some decent bottle age tastes like. Have you ever had a Burgundy, white, or red? What is the best wine you ever have had? Please comment below, and CHEERS!
