I have been doing some more spring cleaning this week and I came across some old VHS tapes. You guys remember them?

I acquired these guys when I was in college from the good ol' Deseret Industries (DI). For those of you who aren't familiar with it, it's a thrift store here in Utah. I'm pretty sure they have locations throughout the Rockies and the West Coast. But, I have never encountered one outside of the state myself.
Judging from the selection, I'm pretty sure they were conscious picks. The chance of a random bundle having some of the best classics is too unlikely for me to believe. It's a shame that I no longer own a VCR. I remember those things were everywhere in all the rented apartments I've lived in. It's somewhat amusing to think that a bunch of university students have those things. They don't even know how valuable they are. At least, not yet. I do wonder if there's a market for antique techs around where I am.
As you can see, I picked most of these tapes up for a hefty price of $0.50 each. I should preserve them better. Who knows? They might be worth more someday. There's a problem, though. I have no idea if they are still playable and part of me is afraid they might break if I tried. Well, I will have to get myself a VCR again.
Anyways, they were a pleasant find in my hoard. It makes you wonder how many kids today know what VHS tapes are. I know my toddler has no idea what they are. It's like the origin of the save icon in most software we use nowadays.
