A few days ago, the peakd.com development team presented the possibility of creating an article with poll questions.

Immediately after reading the article, I thought it would be a great way to vote in the AROUND THE WORLD contest that I run every week.

So I joined the hivehub page and tried to create my first Hive poll.
I have to write that it didn't work the first time.

Fortunately, there are some helpful people in the peakd team, and with the help of their instructions, I was able to complete the poll. Hereby I want to thank @yozen.dev for the great support.

So how to create a poll.

Sign up at https://beta.hivehub.dev/polls
restart the page with Ctrlv + F5
page, select Create a New Poll

You will be presented with the first section page

Fill in all required information

write the main question of your poll here

here you can write additional information, upload images.

There is a bit of a problem with the pictures. Dragging a file from your PC doesn't work yet. It is a good idea to have the necessary images saved in some storage (for example postimg.cc) and insert a link to the saved image.

Image embedding idea: After publication, the survey can be edited like any other article. This means that when creating a poll, you can only write the names of the images, and you can only "insert" your own images during editing.

here you write the necessary number of options that can be used to answer your main question

leave only one possible choice for now

fill in the number for how long the poll will be active

you can keep the original settings or write a number that will (in days) determine the age of the accounts that are allowed to participate in your poll.

If you have filled in everything and there are no unexpected complications, click the Go to Next Section button. The button should be green.

The second section page will appear

In the upper third of the page there is information about your poll question from the first section

Here, write the title under which the poll will be displayed on Hive frontends

here you can (but don't have to) insert links (Url address) to image previews

Here you will see what you wrote in the first section in the Additional info field.
If you don't like it (:-D), you can fix it here.

Here you have the option to select the community in which your poll is initially displayed

You fill in the standard as you are used to when writing a regular article

You have two options:
Decline - no reward
50/50 - HP/HBD

You can go back to the first section and correct the necessary data

If everything is filled in correctly, the button is green and you can publish your poll.

Complicated?
But not at all. With this help and prepared materials, you are able to make your survey in a few minutes.

I believe you will be able to develop great polls. Whether they will be successful depends on how many active readers you have who are willing to fill out the poll :-)

I can say that the PEAKD team has designed and made a very good addition to the existing features of the peakd.com frontend.
Thus, the complicated filling in of third-party forms has been eliminated. Your poll will be accessible like any other article on Hive, and you don't need to link to the poll outside of Hive in your articles.
