Why ROOT?
Inspired by the urgency to recognize that addressing symptoms creates more of the same symptoms; it is time to have the courage to look at roots.
Borrowed from yoga, the idea of root to rise.
ROOT is a fractal - the four steps are contained in each of the individual steps. And one step naturally leads to the next.
Transformation is not the end point, it is a step that opens us up to another Realization.
This approach is emerging organically.
My husband and felt a longing and decided to listen to it after years it had been knocking on our souls. It is a longing to expand, to live beyond the stories we have been constructing for ourselves. Out of our bubble and with this longing loud and clear, we got rid of most possessions and packed a couple of bags. We started a travel to volunteer our skills to different projects. This journey is at the source of Skillward, Skills to Pay it Forward.
Skills, I believe, are a way our gifts get packaged. In a society that calls itself the first world, these skills are being used 40 to 50 hours a week (or more, if we are truly honest) to get us to buy the life we thought we were dreaming of. While this can be a beautiful journey for some of us, there came a point when we needed to find out what there is beyond it.
We are in our mid thirties, these realizations took some time to get materialized. We appreciate all that has made us and wish to contribute to the stories that are emerging. These stories tell of a beautiful world, where plants, animals, bacteria, viruses, humans are connected and communicating with each other.
Our limited experiences bring us to this point, where I believe letting go of certain forms of control, embracing transformation, accessing other forms of intelligence are some of the ways we are being called to contribute to life.
I love conversations, I love people and I want to engage with those of you who are following a conscious transformation, with those of you who can no longer ignore the longing.
More to come on each of the points of ROOT soon.
Until then, do you recognize these elements in your journey? What resonates?
