ROOT is an approach that aims to bring awareness to the transformation process we are part of so that we can become active co-creators in it (you did not think you were in the lead of this process, did you? more on this below)
Once we bring awareness to Realization, there are a few ways to go about it:
- Recognize there is a longing to transform - can't put your finger on it? Play around and name it, feel it, visualize it.
- Can we find appreciation for where we are? A radically simple way to do this is by completing the sentence 'Three things I am grateful for now are...'
- We can play with imagination. 'What if...?' is a good starting point.
- What are for you the ways to bring attention to the process of transformation?
this is below
What if we are part of a consciousness field and what we experience now are influences from future mental states? What if conscious choices are what trigger in us a potential for readiness?
(this and other ideas are found in the amazing book by Rupert Sheldrake, The Science Delusion. I am enjoying finding beautiful philosophical and scientific links to what we might have known all along. And how wonderful to experience this and share it with you)
When this transformation spiral started to show itself to me, I had not known about this kind of community, about this kind of science, about this kind of practice. I was emerged in a field of unconscious, mechanical living, focused on production, on efficiency. My spiritual practices were done so that I can function in that world. And while they helped me in that context, they also created the space for this longing to be heard, to be listened to.
Looking back now, I cannot stress enough how important listening to this longing is. And by longing I do not mean the wants and needs created by our scarcity based society - such as, I really want and need to eat a whole bar of chocolate and then move to the next. I mean that deep, deep truth that we can hear when the madness has stopped for a second.
More to come on the following points of ROOT soon.
Until then, what resonates?
