I joined Hive (then Steem) back in 2018 and while I have not been that active on the chain, my blog has become a pain to scroll through, when looking for a specific article to share with others.
For instance, the other day I wrote a beginner's guide to Rising Star. I certainly may want to refer a new or potential player to this article in the future. Wouldn't it be great if a player who liked this tutorial had easy access to any other tutorials I have written?
Limitations today with tags
When accessing my (or anyone's) blog on PeakD, you can filter by tag. This is a great feature on PeakD that I could not find on Hive. Just click on the tag you want to select on the right.
But this reveals another problem. The article mentioned above is not tagged "Tutorial" but "risingstargame" and may thus be lost in a mass of articles related to this game that are not as meaningful as the tutorial. Earning or progress reports for example.
Furthermore, you have all the meaningless token-tags in the list, like palnet, bilpcoin, neoxian etc. which everybody uses despite most of them having to real meaning or value.
Limitations today with bookmarks
I just discovered the bookmarks feature on PeakD, which is pretty close to what I am looking for in that you can add select posts to lists, which are created independently from tags and can be re-arranged after the post pays out.
There are some minor usability issues like not being able to mass change the bookmark category or sorting the list manually (or at least have it sorted by post date and not bookmark date).
But there is also one major issue: This cannot be shared with other users.
This makes sense, I guess, as the feature is supposedly meant to create bookmarks of other users' posts for your own future reference but...
Suggestion: A Portfolio tab on the user account page
...wouldn't it be great to have an additional tab here, to the right of "All Posts" that could be arranged in lists (just like bookmarks but only for ones own posts) by the user themselves and shared with others?
So, we have this blockchain, storing all of our posts in a secure immutable fashion, but we have no way to access the information in a structured way. Valuable content gets lost between reblogs and Actifit posts. The Portfolio feature could solve this problem and make it easier for users to present themselves and the value they deliver to the community.
