Post Payout Options ๐ฐ
When you come to write a post on @peakd or any other posting interface on the Hive blockchain, you have various options at the bottom of the post editor which shows you how the post will payout you, the author of the post, after the 7 days voting window has closed. Seeing as I mostly use PeakD, I'll be sticking with screenshots from this site.
Clicking "Advanced" reveals several options available in a drop down list but you can also add beneficiaries, who will receive a percentage of your post payout depending on how much you set it as.

50% HBD & 50% HP ๐ก
This is my preferred option and I have this set as a default.
What this means is that you will receive 50% of the author rewards as a "liquid" post payout in the form of HBD (although if the price of HIVE drops below $0.20 or so, it will be HIVE instead of HBD) and 50% Hive Power which will help you do more things on the network.
It's the best of both worlds really as you can save up some Hive in the form of Hive Power for the long term and you can also have some liquid available should you need it. For example, in the @yourtop3 contest, you use the 50/50 option where the liquid part of the post payout (HBD) is sent in as an entry fee for the contest and the other half is Hive Power HP part is powered up - pretty cool hey!

100% Hive Power ๐ช
Quite straightforward here - all of your author rewards will be converted straight to Hive Power so if you are here for the long haul, a pretty good strategy but if you need some liquid then probably not!

Reward.app ๐ฉโ๐งโ๐ฆ
@reward.app is a new and experimental feature where you can give away more of your author reward percentage to those who voted on your post or have more author rewards for yourself. It converts all of the post payout to liquid form for a fee and pays out the author and curators in HBD and HIVE.
For example, if you wanted to give 75% of the post payout to voters and 25% to yourself, then you'd select the reward.app option and send 0.001 HIVE to @reward.app with "75" in the memo. Pick any number between 0-100 and that's what the percentage of the post payout will be that goes to voters on your post.
Full details of how it works can be found here.

Burn ๐ฅ
If you don't want any rewards and don't want your "would be" post payouts to go to the reward pool, then you can opt to burn all the HIVE/HBD that would have been generated. This means that HIVE/HBD is gone forever, burned to a cinder, gone!

Donate to Hive Fund ๐ฉโ๐ป
If you wanted the post payout to go fully towards the Hive Development Fund (where people put forward proposals for projects to be funded with HBD) then you can contribute your post payouts to this.
Bear in mind, the Development Fund already receives 10% or so of the new HIVE tokens produced each day already and you may want to check how much it's being utilised first before selecting this option.

Decline ๐
If you don't want any rewards and DO want your "would be" post payouts to be distributed back to the rewards pool, then select "decline". This just means that more HIVE/HBD can go to other authors as part of the daily distribution of votes.

Beneficiaries ๐ ๐ค
Maybe you collaborated with another user on PeakD to make some awesome content on your post? This is a good way to distribute a pre-determined amount of the post rewards between all collaborators.
It's a bit like a smart contract in a sense, for example, a music producer and a singer working together to make an epic track may have discussed that they would split it 50/50 so you'd add their username and set the amount to 50% in the box that appears:

Conclusion
So there you have it folks, the post payout options available for your authoring pleasure via the PeakD site.
Hope you found it useful, if you have any questions about these, let me know in the comments! Which is your preferred one?

P.S. - Don't forget to write your post for the @yourtop3 contest - this month's topic is "End of the World" movies! Full info here! ๐
