Dieser hypothetische Zerfall würde dann vom Geiger-Zähler detektiert werden oder nicht und würde dann entweder das Gift freisetzen oder nicht, was daraufhin die Katze töten würde oder nicht. Alles würde in eine Kette von Superpositionen versetzt werden. So die Überlegung.

Ähnlich wie Schrödinger damals, bin ich ein bisschen skeptisch, ob das in der Realität tatsächlich funktioniert und ob es in der Natur nicht viele Cutoffs gibt und wo diese genau liegen. Die Dekohärenz wäre ein so ein Cutoff, wie die Natur das exponentielle Anwachsen von internen Quanten-Zuständen in absurde Ausmaße unterbinden kann. Bereits bei ein paar hundert interagierenden qubits hätte man mehr interne Zustände, als das Universum Atome hat. Andererseits ist es in der Natur auch möglich, dass sich auch größere Strukturen wie Atome oder Moleküle in einer Superposition befinden. Superposition ist die Regel, nicht die Ausnahme.
