I had no big plans that day. No itinerary, no particular tourist destination. Just a simple desire to walk slowly, look at the sky, and breathe deeper than usual...🌤️
Unexpectedly, my footsteps led me to a lake that was... silent. Quiet. Not many sounds, not many people, but that's where it's special...🌳🕊️
• 🚣 Slowly Flowing Atmosphere
The lakeside was not crowded. Only a few young men with orange buoys were preparing to board the rubber boat. Some were joking while carrying paddles, others were sitting quietly staring at the water...😄🛶
A few meters away, an adult man was fishing on the edge of the path. He stood alone, focused on the end of his fishing line...🎣
Not talking, not playing with his cell phone. It was as if he just wanted to be at one with the time that was running so slowly that day...🎣⏳
I greeted him briefly, he just smiled. And I understood, this place does not need many words...
🐾 Two Cats, and the Lesson of Silence
Under a big tree by the lake, I saw two cats lying down. They leaned against each other, closed their eyes, and seemed to be saying :
"This is a safe place. Here you can rest." 😺🍃

What I love about this place is that it doesn't try to be a “tourist spot”. There are no big signs, no selfie spots, no speakers...🙅♂️🎤📸
But that's the beauty of this place. The rocky paths, the lush trees by the lake, and the semi-rural atmosphere that feels peaceful... This is not a place to show off, but a place to recharge.🍂🌾
• 💭 Going Home With No Souvenirs, But Someone Recovered
I didn't take anything away from here - no shopping, no eating at cute cafes, no souvenirs.
🌱 peace of mind that I had lost...
Sometimes we're too busy looking for a vacation far away, while all around us are small places that can heal. We just need to be still... and let nature do its work.

Situ Gintung is not just a place - it's like a silent embrace from nature.
