A short greeting from the East...
Just standing in the courtyard of the South Sulawesi traditional house at TMII , but it feels like being greeted directly by the fighting spirit of Sultan Hasanuddin . 🔥
Small steps, but deep meaning . Let's take a peek !! 👣🏡
Hi Worldmappin friends ! 👋🌏
Today I'd like to take you on a quick trip to South Sulawesi ... but the mini version is in the heart of Jakarta - at Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII) to be precise .. 🏡
I didn't go inside the traditional house , but just standing in the courtyard made me feel like I was taking a step back in Bugis-Makassar culture . The surrounding atmosphere was cool , shady , and calm . The tall trees and the breeze successfully made my mind cool too ... 🌳🍃
As soon as I arrived at the area of this South Sulawesi traditional house , my eyes were immediately drawn to the unique shape of the house - the high roof curved like a horn , standing on large wooden poles . The small staircase in front seemed to invite me to go up , but this time I just enjoyed it from below while imagining the story behind each corner .
And ... what makes this moment even more memorable: the statue of Sultan Hasanuddin stands proudly in the courtyard ! 💂
With his battle attire and stern expression , this statue really makes the aura of history more pronounced . Sultan Hasanuddin, the Rooster from the East , seems to be guarding the house and greeting every visitor who passes by . 🔥
Even though it was only a short visit and I didn't go inside , it gave me a sense of pride and admiration for our incredibly rich culture . TMII is really a small door that opens our eyes about how diverse and strong the cultural roots in Indonesia are . 🇮🇩
See you on your next adventure , Worldmappin friends !
Keep exploring , support local culture , and don't hesitate to share small stories that can give big meaning 🌍✨
