El 1/12/24 , nos fuimos de vacaciones junto a mi marido a Córdoba, Argentina a unos 800km de Buenos Aires. Estas vacaciones se venían planificando hace un año atrás por dos motivos principales: Festejar el cumpleaños de mi cuñada que reside allí y ascender el cerro mas alto de las sierras chicas sin mencionar otros planes mas íntimos que acarreaban muchas emociones.
Uno de esos planes, era ir a un predio llamado Agua de los palos el cual, esta ubicado a unos 7km del centro de Capilla Del Monte y cuenta con restaurante, piscina, actividades como el ascenso al cerro la gemela y un par de trekkins mas sencillos. Uno de ellos se llamaba El vía crucis y es el que les mostrare hoy.
On 1/12/24, we went on vacation with my husband to Córdoba, Argentina, about 800km from Buenos Aires. These vacations had been planned a year ago for two main reasons: to celebrate my sister-in-law's birthday who lives there and to climb the highest hill in the "sierras chicas" without mentioning other more intimate plans that brought out many emotions.
One of those plans was to go to a place called Agua de los palos, which is located about 7km from the center of Capilla Del Monte and has a restaurant, a pool, activities such as climbing to the Twin Hills and a couple of easier treks. One of them was called The Way of the Cross and that's the one I'll show you today.

Para empezar, el camino era de aproximadamente una hora de recorrido en completa subida (Nos cansamos bastante). Si bien, ya habíamos hecho este recorrido en una ocasión, esta vez, fue diferente ya que este lugar fue elegido para hacer una especie de ceremonia simbólica de despedida a mi suegro que en paz descanse , por su ambiente espiritual. No daré mas detalles al respecto por motivos personales pero hubo muchas emociones encontradas. Creo que mis cuñados se sintieron aliviados de recordarlo en aquel sitio.
To start, the path was about an hour trek uphill (We got quite tired). Although we had done this trek once before, this time was different as this place was chosen to hold a kind of symbolic farewell ceremony for my late father-in-law, due to its spiritual environment. I won't provide further details on this for personal reasons, but there were many mixed emotions. I think my brothers-in-law felt relieved to remember him in that place.

El camino estaba repleto de monumentos tallados en piedras que contaban cada hecho del cristianismo hasta la resurrección de Cristo. De verdad, las piedras talladas estaban muy bien hechas y lograban transmitir todas las emociones del momento. La espiritualidad estaba en el aire.
The path was filled with monuments carved in stones that told every event of Christianity up to the resurrection of Christ. Truly, the carved stones were very well done and managed to convey all the emotions of the moment. Spirituality was in the air.

El día estuvo muy caluroso pero valió cada paso el paisaje que acompaña el sendero religioso. Al llegar, estaba el ultimo monumento con la resurrección tallada de forma magistral , una cruz que simbolizaba la cruz de Jesús, un monumento y varios altares dedicados a la madre tierra Pachamama.
The day was very hot but it was worth every step the landscape that accompanies the religious path. Upon arrival, there was the last monument with the masterfully carved resurrection, a cross symbolizing the cross of Jesus, a monument and several altars dedicated to Mother Earth Pachamama.

Luego de la ceremonia, nos pusimos apreciar el hermoso paisaje pensando lo efímera que es la vida. Como un día estamos vivos y al otro, no sabemos por eso, al ver este hermoso paisaje reflexione de que hay que vivir cada momento como si fuera el ultimo pero de manera responsable. Cuidando nuestro cuerpo, espíritu y a los que amaos porque sin salud no hay disfrute y ¿Qué es de la vida si no se puede disfrutar?
After the ceremony, we took the time to appreciate the beautiful landscape, thinking about how fleeting life is. One day we are alive and the next, we don't know. Therefore, upon seeing this beautiful landscape, I reflected that we must live every moment as if it were the last, but in a responsible manner. Taking care of our body, spirit, and those we love because without health there is no enjoyment and what is life if we cannot enjoy it?

Al finalizar el descenso de este sendero, caminamos hasta la casa de una amiga. Llegamos prácticamente derretidos pero por suerte, nos esperaba con la piscina llena así que nos relajamos un rato allí entre todos.

At the end of this trail descent, we walked to a friend's house. We arrived practically melted, but luckily, she was waiting for us with the pool full so we relaxed there for a while all together.

En la casa de esta amiga, había varios gato y como yo no puedo no acosarlos, le tome esta foto a uno de ellos. Cerrar con mates, piscina y michis el día, fue lo mejor de todo.
At this friend's house, there were several cats and since I can't help but bother them, I took this picture of one of them. Ending the day with mates, pool, and kitties was the best part of it all.
