Join me as I recount the amazing time my wife, our close friends, and I had while exploring this enchanting Korean gem. From indulging in mouthwatering delicacies to embarking on thrilling adventures, our trip was nothing short of extraordinary. So, fasten your seatbelts and get ready for some serious wanderlust! ✌️
Our meticulously planned 6-day, 5-night itinerary ensured we made the most of every moment on the island. Landing at Jeju International Airport, we swiftly hopped on a shuttle bus to Jeju Angel Rental Car, where our trusty vehicle awaited. Adjusting to the left side drive, a contrast to our Singaporean norm, added an extra layer of excitement as we eagerly embraced the challenge. With our wheels ready, we embarked on a thrilling adventure, traversing scenic roads and uncovering the hidden marvels of Jeju from a fresh perspective 😁
Let's start by unveiling the magnificent accommodation that became our sanctuary during our Jeju stay! A breathtaking haven tucked amidst lush greenery, radiating an air of serenity. The traditional design of our living space enveloped us in warmth and tranquility, providing the perfect retreat after our daily escapades. Here, we indulged in the simple pleasure of sipping tea, lounging comfortably, and basking in the embrace of nature. As we ventured deeper into our haven, an awe-inspiring sight awaited—a private bathtub strategically positioned for panoramic views of a tangerine plantation. Envision soaking in fragrant, warm waters, surrounded by the vibrant hues of nature's artwork. This remarkable accommodation elevated our Jeju experience to unparalleled heights 😍
Now, let's dive headfirst into the gastronomic wonders that awaited us in Jeju. Renowned as a food lover's paradise, the island tantalized our taste buds with an array of exquisite flavors. Our culinary adventure took us on a delightful journey, immersing ourselves in local delicacies that left us longing for more. The highlight? A steaming pot of Abalone Stew, where we reveled in the succulent richness and tender texture of the abalone. Just look at that generous amount of abalone! Jeon, the beloved Korean pancakes, delighted our palates with their crispy exterior and tantalizing fillings 🤤
Next up, let me introduce the famous Jeju's Black Pork, showcased in various mouthwatering forms. From sizzling Korean BBQ that filled the air with irresistible aromas to the fusion marvel of Black Pork Risotto, each dish demonstrated the luscious and flavorful nature of this local delicacy. Each bite deepened our adoration for Jeju's culinary treasures, leaving an indelible mark on our palates. While there were countless other delectable dishes worth mentioning, alas, we were too eager to savor their flavors and I failed to capture them in time 😅
Our time in Jeju brimmed with thrilling activities that added an extra zest to our trip. We revved our engines on all-terrain vehicles (ATVs), conquering rugged terrains and breathtaking landscapes. The adrenaline coursed through our veins as we embraced the untamed beauty of Jeju's nature. To heighten the adventure, we ventured into pistol and clay shooting, aiming with precision and reveling in the exhilarating rush with each successful hit. Such experiences were unique and inaccessible back in Singapore, where civilian access to firearms is restricted. Additionally, we unleashed our inner child at 9.81 Park Jeju, where high-tech twists infused go-karting and arcade games, resulting in an immersive and mind-blowing gaming encounter 👍
And how could I forget my beloved pastime — cafe hopping? Jeju's reputation for charming cafes beckoned us, and we couldn't resist exploring the vibrant coffee culture that the island had to offer. From trendy, hipster cafes to cozy traditional tea houses, each venue exuded its own unique ambiance. Hours slipped away as we indulged in aromatic coffees, savored mouthwatering desserts, and engaged in meaningful conversations. Among the many gems we discovered, one stood out as my personal favorite - ONE AND ONLY, a hidden gem nestled on a cliff, treating us to awe-inspiring views of the ocean as we savored our lattes. It was pure bliss, a moment suspended in time 🤗
As our adventure on Jeju drew to a close, we couldn't help but reflect on the incredible experiences we had shared.
