Hi, I'm back now. It turns out we had a very unusual day. My husband and I went to this park today to relax a bit. It's a fairly large park with lots of places for recreation and it's only 4.9 miles from home.
We discovered this place because someone we communicated with yesterday sent us her location and so we were encouraged to explore.

Today we woke up early eager to discover a new place here in Orlando. So we turned on the GPS and headed there.
When we arrived we found an empty parking lot and many signs in English warning about wildlife and the rules to follow there. One of them was to stay a safe distance from the shore.

It is located in the east of Orlando, Florida, and has multiple walking trails. Along the river we could also see a wide bike path, the Little Econ Greenway, and we immediately thought: if mi sister were here, we would have to bring her bike in the car.
There is a place for picnics, fishing, of course, and benches to relax and look at the landscape. There is also a lot to do for photographers here. We decided to take some pictures after seeing this beautiful squirrel.

But these ducks were swimming very confidently there. We loved watching them. There are many attractions in this park. We must return to explore it thoroughly. While we were there, my husband suggested buying us a fishing rod and some beginner gear. There are many trees and flowers of singular beauty and you can enjoy ample areas of shade as well as sun. Most of the time we were chasing those shy rays because it was a bit cold.

So we would have liked my son to come with us today too, but he had important classes and activities at school.

This is definitely an attractive place that we recommend if you are passing through Orlando, Florida. I am talking about Jay Blanchard Park, not Walmart, you know. 🤣
For us it was a spectacular trip. Seeing people go there to relax, to exercise, to do yoga, to meditate, to share with family meals that they prepare there or bring from home, or to fish, reminded us that life must be lived. It was an incentive and a reminder that work is necessary and many times because we end up so exhausted we end up wandering around in a routine, in the same places, without giving ourselves the chance for adventure, for new things, for experiencing other things. That is why we must take care to plan time for our recreation.

Ver a la gente como va allí a relajarse, a hacer ejercicios, yoga, a meditar, a compartir en familia con comidas que preparan allí o llevan desde casa, o a pescar, nos recordó que la vida hay que vivirla. Fue un incentivo y un recordatorio de que el trabajo es necesario y muchas veces por terminar tan agotados nos quedamos dando vueltas en una rutina, en los mismos lugares, sin darnos el chance de la aventura, lo nuevo, experimentar otras cosas. Por eso debemos ocuparnos de planificar tiempo para nuestro esparcimiento.
