Looking at the horizon where the sea gets lost and blends with the wonderful sky and in the middle of it a boat sails through the intensity, those views are priceless.
As most of you know, I love nature, art and history and within the latter, castles are my fascination and the entrance to the highest castle in the city, the Gibralfaro Castle, is a long way up a path, a path that goes uphill and uphill.
On a previous occasion I brought you the path up to the first viewpoint, the viewpoint of La Coracha. Although you can have beautiful views of the city as well as of the Mediterranean Sea and the nature along the whole path, this is the place where you can stop and spend some time there on a terrain that is not sloping and enjoy it in a different way.
A few steps away from the viewpoint of La Coracha, named after the old wall that separated the castle from the sea, the sun is reflected over the city, over the hill where the castle is situated and in some parts, like over the bullring, the sun is more intense, or also over the eastern part of the city. At that time it was about 15:30 to 16:00 and the sun's rays were majestic over the beautiful city.
Malaga is called Malaga, the beautiful, or also the city of art, and I think they are absolutely right.

Arriving at the viewpoint, the first on this tour, I was able to appreciate the wonderful panoramic views both to the east and west of the city and of course to the south where the sea is.
It is a place where there is a monument indicating the cardinal points, I also found a place to sit down and there are always many people, especially tourists. As this place is free of charge, many people go there just for the view. The residents use this walk as a form of exercise, since it is so steep, cardiovascular exercise is important.

There is also a large map there, but a very particular one, made of a kind of metal and the map in a soft relief. So the pictures were very complicated to take, I hope you can see something. At that moment I could see the map, but against the light of the sun.
All around me was not only the sea and the city, but looking up I could see the vegetation surrounding the climb to Gibralfaro Castle, which I want to go to soon and I will bring it to you.
Of course there are also views downwards where, already in a very small form, you can see the town hall, the bank of Spain and the Pedro Luis Alonso gardens, in an exquisite and perfect design, which seen from the heights can be appreciated in a different way. Wonderful. I didn't want to miss a single place to see and investigate.
Once I had rested a little from the effort of the climb, I headed for the new path that would take me to the other viewpoint, the Gibralfaro viewpoint.
The path was very different from what I had seen so far, now the path had more trees, more vegetation and the sun's rays were filtering through them. On many occasions the vegetation was thicker and the atmosphere was darker. Between the trees and their branches I could appreciate new views, new angles, all wonderful.
On my way I came across this great parador, a hotel called the castle, the best balcony on the Mediterranean Sea, it is a four star hotel, although to me it looks like a thousand stars, it is very luxurious and beautiful. The pictures I was able to take of the exterior are too beautiful and the surroundings even more so.
But I still had a long way to go and I decided to continue. Between paths, trees, trails, stairs and more views, I gradually approached the highest viewpoint in the city. I am once again excited to write this, because it is a marvel to be there.
Before I could get there, I passed the entrance to the castle of Gibralfaro, I took a break, looking around me and waving to the pigeons that were there.
At the entrance to the castle there are two bus lines, number 35 and the tourist bus. I never took any of them, I always went up on foot, because it is worth it, but for those who can't do this walk, these are the ways to go up, apart from by car.
Walking a bit more I reach my final goal, the Gibralfaro viewpoint. From there, what can I say, my eyes could not see so many beautiful landscapes at that height.
It was still autumn and the trees were delighting me with various colours, shapes and shades. Some are evergreen and remain evergreen, but others take on orange tones that are very pleasant.
There is also a map as in the previous viewpoint, I suppose made with panoramic photographs of what you can see from there. And the views are even better than the previous ones. It creates a feeling of being high up, seeing everything as if you were an eagle with an incredible view and enjoying paradise.
This is one of the most magical treks I have ever done in my life, impossible to describe in words.
Thank you all for joining me, I send you all a big hello. See you soon.
