Hello, @worldmappin travelers, it’s my first post in this community.
How's your day been so far? Hope everything’s fine. In this blog, let’s do the island hopping here. Hope you enjoy some views that I am going to share with you. Welcome to the Mystical Island, the Province of Love, Dinagat Island.
For today’s blog, I want to show you some of the tourist destinations here in Dinagat Island. If you are a beach lover, Dinagat Island is perfect for you to visit. There are many private tour guides to assist you if you are a tourist; if you also like to do island hopping, they also offer complete packages like private boat transfer, free breakfast, entrance fees, cottage rental, and accommodation.
It was my first time experiencing island hopping; thank you very much to my husband's side for planning this, especially sis Bebe with his family from the U.S. who are vacationing here. I’m so excited to experience island hopping and at the same time a little bit nervous because maybe the sea is wavy, but the sea is actually calm, thank 'God.
Welcome to Blue Lagoon, also known as Tidal Pool, located in Libjo, Dinagat Islands. It is part of Barangay Magsaysay, Libjo; it can be reached by boat in 1 hour and 30 minutes from San Jose pier. But we reached the Blue Lagoon in only 30 minutes only because we came from Albor. The beaches there are just nearby.
In this adventure we did not rent a boat because one of my sisters-in-law has a boat that we can use, and his husband, together with their son, is the one who operated the boat. When you want to visit this place, I would suggest booking a tour guide with a complete package for you to cost less and be hassle-free. It's really expensive if you rent a boat, and of course, you also have to pay the person operating the boat, plus you have to find a place to stay. But there are many places offering room accommodations, and there are also rooms on some beaches that you can stay in when you wish to extend more on the beach.
This beach is perfect for any occasion, outing, and team building with the family, friends, office mates, and colleagues. This place is perfect to relax and unwind.
The crystal-clear cold water is so inviting, and the islet kisses are wonders to the eyes. The clear water looks like rich shades of blue from afar. The kids enjoy making sandcastles because of its white powder sand, which they enjoy so much. The water here is perfect for swimming as it is bordered by karst cliffs that protect it from strong winds. The place is so relaxing; they offer cottages. The entrance fee is so affordable; for only 30 pesos, the entrance fee is a fund for the maintenance of the place to stay clean, especially the comfort room. They also have a floating cottage to offer if you like to feel the tidal pool view in the center of the ocean. For an even better view of the lagoon, you can head up to the resort's viewing deck as well. While swimming in the beach, you can find lots of sea grapes under it; then it’s free to get some if you like to eat sea grapes. Sea grapes are delicious when you dip them in vinegar with chili and lemon, paired with some steamed sweet potato and cassava or banana.
After your time in Blue Lagoon, you can also visit the other beach resort in front of the Blue Lagoon, which is the Jelmar's Islet Resort and Lutas Beach Resort the beach are right next to each other; it's only 15 minutes to get there. The bamboo boardwalk of the resort is the main attraction; you can walk there to feel and see the beauty of that place; it also gives you an open view of the clear waters and karst cliffs. They offer some amenities to enjoy, sea foods and you can do fun activity as well.
Before the day ends, while exploring the beaches, you will pass by the Hagakhak Rock Formation. You can definitely drop by for picture-taking since it's on the way back to San Jose pier. Hagakhak Rock Formation, which gives you the view of its sedimentary rock formations that were carved over the years by the waves.
That’s all for our island hopping. I hope you enjoy reading and viewing the pictures. More travel to share.
Have a great day ahead.
